Irelynn-the puppy's perspective

Hi there! Irelynn here. Do you like my new name? I do, it is pretty and lively, just like me! I love being fostered here in Illinois. I have 2 dogs to run and play with-a giant black poodle and a nice little german shorthair. I know that I love to play wrestle-mania and tug of war. I have learned to grab my foster sister by the neck fur and tug her to the ground-don't worry, we are just playing. I am sort of skinny, so I am eating as fast as my foster mom can cook-scrambled eggs, rice and ground beef, and lots of kibble. I love the couch and the bed and my foster mom even puts me on her lap-though I look a little silly. I know that I love kids-the ones playing outside seem fun, and I am pretty gentle-though I do stand on my hind feet for hugs! I need to go to school, because my foster mom says I need to teach my new family how to keep me polite and good mannered. She is teaching me down, but I like to sit for treats and pets. Keep checking my blog,as my foster mom keeps updating it. She wants to show off how lovely I look as I gain a little weight and show more of my good natured pointer personality. Talk to you soon.

making friends

I can say that Irelynn's dream home would include access to a big old bed and a canine bud to romp with. She is having a ball with Ceres, her gsp sis.

Ahhh, fall

Irelynn is loving a nice backyard to lay around in, chew on a bone, learn relaxation techniques from Cole the poodle:)

Happy Halloween!

Irelynn doesn't want to get into the spirit of wearing her doggie Halloween hat! That's ok, we will take a picture anyway.

getting the grand tour

Little Irelynn's foster sister gives her a tour of the house. "Now follow me to the backyard, with its huge holes I have thoughtfully dug for you."

little couch potato

So the second Irelynn gets done eating and exploring the house, she is on the couch and lets out a huge sigh, like she is saying "I am finally relaxed." Poor little girl, she has been to the shelter, temporary foster home with tons of toy doggies (!), and then on the road from Indiana. Now, happily bathed, tummy full, back from a brisk walk, she has claimed the couch!

our new girl!

Here she is, our new strawberry blond haired girl. Irelynn is a young pointer girl, a wee lass, if you will. Her heart is full of pointer love and happiness. She is an eager hugger of her new people. A real snuggler and cuddler, she is happy to have someone's arms around her.
